Lisburn Distillery Football Club  was delighted to announce Smiley Monroe as its’ new Club Sponsor on Wednesday 24th November 2010.

 

Lisburn Distillery chairman Bobby Hanna said; “We are delighted that Smiley Monroe is our new Club Sponsor. We thank them for their support in what are difficult times and I am also delighted that they are based locally in Lisburn. They are successful and leaders in their field and I also hope too that the club will have a successful season given our good start in the Carling Premiership and the Co-Operative Insurance Cup. We look forward to a successful partnership and working with Smiley Monroe in the future.”

 

Smiley Monroe’s Managing Director, Vaughan Monroe and Mary Monroe, Director, added; “Smiley Monroe is delighted to be Lisburn Distillery’s new Club Sponsor and we’re really excited about working together. We’ve always enjoyed getting involved in the community and have supported a number of local teams over the years, including Smiley Monroe’s Cross-Community Under 16s in the Mid-Ulster League.”

 

The new kits bearing the Smiley Monroe logo will be worn for the first time in the Carling Premiership game against champions Linfield on Saturday 27th November 2010. The sponsorship deal will run to the end of the current season (2010-2011) with further options exercisable.

 

Smiley Monroe formally presented the club with its’ new kit in a presentation at their modern purpose-built Head Office and production facility at Knockmore Hill Industrial Park, Lisburn.

300511 - Smiley Monroe and Lisburn Distillery’s Charity Football Match & Fun Day a Great Success

Smiley Monroe Ltd, Club Sponsor, and Lisburn Distillery Football Club has raised a total of  £6,841.80 from their Charity Football Match and Family Fun Day fundraiser for Marie Curie Cancer Care, which was held on Sunday 8th May at Lisburn Distillery’s New Grosvenor Stadium.

 

Amongst the free attractions, the 40ft assault-course bouncy castle and face painting proved a big hit with the kids, as did the penalty shoot-out, with the Whites’ manager - former Northern Ireland keeper Tommy Wright - taking his turn in goal. A range of great prizes were raffled in the afternoon, from a laptop and luxury hampers to champagne and football memorabilia, which included a signed Co-operative Cup winning Lisburn Distillery FC shirt and framed Liverpool shirt signed by Anfield legend Steven Gerrard.

 

Tim Monroe, Smiley Monroe’s Marketing Manager, said; “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to raise so much money for Marie Curie Cancer Care and we’d like to thank everyone who helped make this fundraiser such a success, through their donations, and by coming along on the day to show their support. And not forgetting all those who helped organise this event, including AFC Craigavon, who kindly loaned a kit to Smiley Monroe’s football team and Julie’s Kitchen in Lisburn, for selling so many raffle tickets!”

020811 - ‘Get the right team behind you’ – Smiley Monroe renew club sponsorship deal

 

Lisburn Distillery Football Club is delighted to announce that Smiley Monroe will continue as its’ Club Sponsor for the next two seasons.

 

The Lisburn based company became the club’s sponsor in November 2010 and we are delighted that they are supporting us once again in a new two year deal which also includes the provision of three additional kits for three of the club’s growing youth academy teams.

 

Lisburn Distillery chairman Jim Greer said; “First of all I would like to thank Smiley Monroe for their tremendous support last season. We are very grateful to them for renewing their sponsorship in what continue to be difficult times for the game in general. We look forward to working with them over the next two seasons and hope that the success we had with them last season will continue in the seasons ahead.”  

 

Tommy Wright, the manager of Lisburn Distillery added; “I am delighted that we have the right team in Smiley Monroe behind us again. We have been working hard with them to put things in place for the new season, we have had an excellent working relationship and we will all be aiming to build on the success of last season.”
